Bonnie from Overtown, Miami.

Photo taken by Natalie Edgar. April 13, 2010. Miami, Florida. Bonnie, a crack addict and AIDS  victim sits in her usual spot in one of the oldest neighborhoods in Miami, Overtown. Due to segregation and Jim Crow laws, Blacks were not allowed to live in any area in the city. Overtown became the area where the Black community lived, but was later destroyed with urban renewal programs.
