Paella: the dish of Spain.

Alicante, Spain. June 8, 2011. Professor and artist Fernando Fernandez Torres also known as Fefeto, sits in his roomates Mercedes´ living room while waiting for the paella to be cooked. The decor of the apartment is inspired by the famous, Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar who is popularly known for using vibrant, extravagent colors and patterns in his films.

Alicante, Spain. June 8, 2011. Mercedes cooks authentic vegetable paella with fresh ingrediants like red pepper, brocolli, beans, and tomato. The province of Valencia is the birthplace of paella. It is said that over 150 varieties of paella are made in various provinces in the Valencian community with seafood, pork, chicken, etc.
