Sheets on The Streets– The Great Grove Bed Race

September 4, 2011. Coconut Grove, Miami. Mr. Moes, one of The Groves most popular bars participated in the annual bed race during Labor Day weekend.

September 4, 2011. Cocout Grove, Miami. Participants of the Great Grove Bed Race dress up according to the theme of their mobile bed. The annual block party dates back to over three decades and celebrates with the Pajama Pub Crawl, a parade, and the traditional bed race.

September 4, 2011. Coconut Grove, Miami. Becky Fromm, a participant in the PUFF Dragon Boat Team gets ready for the Great Grove Bed Race. The teams of five consist of one rider and four runners. Each bed must run only by human power, be twin size, and have four wheels.

September 4, 2011. Coconut Grove, Miami. Sandbar, a bar popular to college students in Miami participated in the Great Grove Bed Race. Over ten teams of five people participated in the annual race that took place on Coconut Groves Fuller Street. Each team is judged based on their theme, decor, and speed.

September 4, 2011. Coconut Grove, Miami. The PUFF Dragon Boat team wins the race against the Wells Fargo team. This fundraising event donates to The Boys and Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade.
